LINES AND MASKS.

Lines of energy placed in works to break up the surface.

Lines used to connect one object to another.

Its a paper series that breaks down into geometric structure the basics of previous paintings and ideas. It has its roots in cubism but these pictures are on a two dimensional plane rather then blending three dimenmsional elements onto the surface.

Throughout history masks have always been with us.

In tribal custom. Use in theatre. Protection against and projection of fear in war. To disguise. Religion. Mask - a covering for all or part of a face. A likeness of a persons face. A disguise or pretence. To conceal or protect.

Sometimes we wear a mask on the inside. Not all masks look outwards.

They are part of our external colour system and are meant to be whatever you want them to be.
